The arena, where people would go to fight or to train. Some would leave injured and hopefully no one would leave dead. So what was Scorpius doing? Sitting right in the middle of it. It was empty today, not a soul there but his. What exactly was it that he was doing? Nothing, just sitting there by himself bouncing around in his own excitement of god knows what. This was just like Scorpius too, to make the most fun out of even an empty arena. It was no wonder why people would think he was crazy.
"Show me some... Something... Give me a chat!" He was singing quietly to himself. He had a pretty good voice, now if only he could remember the words and the name of the song that was stuck in his head. He got up and decided to circle the arena. "Now why would anyone come here to fight? I wanna come here to rock and roll!" He yelled a little too loudly, but laughed it off. Someone may have been embarrassed yelling to them self, but not Scorpius. He almost never got embarrassed about anything.
If you were to walk in on Scorpius now, you'd probably think he was crazy. Well, if you didn't think he was crazy already. His ADD seemed to kick in at full gear, and he was head banging in the center of the arena. His pitch black hair flailing like waves in the ocean. There wasn't even any music playing around him, the only music was the one inside his head. His cousin often said that he didn't look approachable, but he didn't see why. Sure, he wore funny clothes and liked to paint his arms. His eyeliner covered his face and whatever part didn't his hair sure as hell did. But once you got to know him hes actually pretty friendly.

---------- All alone in his cabin, Nico was bored out of his mind, and thanks to his uncurable ADHD, he was one step away from bouncing off the walls merely for entertainment. The training for the day was over, and now that he was neither wielding steel or flame, his hands felt unusually empty, almost useless. In an attempt to give them something to do, he reached over to his bedside table and withdrew one of the smokes that lay in a pack on top of it, placing it in his mouth and inhaling the delicious contents. One of the simple things he enjoyed doing was lighting his smokes with his mind, so by the time it reached his lips, it was ready to go. It was really the simple things when you were a demigod that kept you entertained. Still, this wasn't enough for him, he needed to get out.
Of course, for Nico, this was simply a matter of finding a shadow and transporting to wherever he wished to go. Strangely enough though, the place he wanted to visit was the arena. It wasn't a matter of wanting to fight anybody, although he would happily entertain his malicious side should the opportunity arise. No, this was more the fact that it was a large area that he could roam as free as a bird to subdue the hyperactivity that only increased with every second he sat still.
With that in mind, Nico slipped beneath his bed, covering himself in the shadow and sunk within them, picturing the entrance to the arena in his mind. Within seconds, he was there, standing in the shadows of the archway leading into it. It didn't take long for him to hear the voice that was just around the corner, and it took even less time for him to recognise who it belonged to. Sure enough, Scorpius' body walked right by the entrance, completely oblivious to Nico's presence in the shadows, talking to himself about playing music in the arena or something. With a smirk, he stepped out from the shadows as Scorpius passed, taking another drag from the smoke he had bought with him through the shadow gate. "Talking to yourself is the first sign of insanity, you know," He said, exhaling the nicotine smoke from his lungs in a nonchalant manner. Turning his head to face Scorpius, he turned his smirk into a smile. The two of them were similar in alot of ways. They both controlled the flame, and both were born of the more unpopular Gods. Of course, being the son of Hades gave Nico more of an advantage over most, though that fact was only put to use when in competition with the other demigods.

Scorpius was pretty much having the time of his life. He knew if Saphira was here to see him she'd probably be shaking her head. She was the more mature one out of the two. He sat back down in the middle of the arena and looked around. From what he could see he was alone. "Hmm.. What do to.." When he was alone he would talk out loud. Hell, even if he wasn't alone he'd still talk outloud. He couldn't really help it though, he had the attention span of like a grain of sand. He sighed, boredom setting in. Scorpius had a few ideas of what he wanted to do, but if he did them his cousin would probably get mad at him, and that wasn't something Scorpius wanted.
When they arrived here, Scorpius told Saphira he would try and control himself. That he wouldn't use his powers unless he had to. But he was bored. So what did he do? He set a fire using just his mind. It was a small fire, but soon it got bigger and bigger. He grinned wickedly and circled it, placing his hand inside the fire because he knew it wouldn't burn him. "Now my friend, now to your purpose. Patience, enjoy it, revenge can be taken!" His voice was low when he sang, but still loud enough for people to hear him. The one thing that was probably strange about Scorpius was the obsession with Sweeney Todd that he has. So it wasn't a wonder why he would randomly start singing lyrics from the movie.
Turning around quickly, Scorpius noticed he wasn't really alone anymore in the arena. There was a guy, maybe around his age, standing there. "Yeah well I'm sure I do more then just talk to myself to make me seem crazy/" He laughed, looking at the guy and behind him the fire slowly started to die down. "Do I know you?" He asked raising his eyebrows. Whoever this person was seemed familiar but Scorpius just couldn't put the name to the face. He was horrible with things like that, it would take him forever to learn even the simplest of names. ---------- As Nico got closer to where Scorpius was standing, he chuckled a little at the sight before him. He knew of the boys powers, obviously, but the fact that he was standing there, hand in the flame to prove it didn't burn him reminded Nico of the first time he discovered the fire would cause him no damage either. It was a wonderful moment in time for him, realising that the things he had been experiencing weren't just in his imagination. That he really was something special and not just an emotionally damaged child that made up stories, which was what the councilors at school had said over and over again.
Nico was a demigod. And not just any demigod. He was the son of Hades, god of the Underworld. Much like Percy Jackson, he was also one of the most powerful demigods known on this world. That wasn't to say he exploited his abilities. As far as these things went, he was fairly modest about them, but if anyone antagonised him in battle, he was fully aware and capable of unleashing his entire arsenal.
When Scorpius finally turned around and realised he wasn't alone, Nico smirked a little more. It always surprised him when members of Camp Half-Blood didn't know who he was. With the exceptions of the trainers, he had probably been at the camp longest, having come here from a young age and staying right through for 10 years to date. At his question, Nico shrugged his shoulders and chuckled. "You probably should, seeing as we're more similar than you would think," He said, gazing at his hand for a second as a thought struck his mind. In an instant, he clicked his fingers, and the flames that had been produced by Scorpius flickered out, only to be replaced by his own fire. The flames that Nico made however, engulfed the entire arena, and reached up to the skies. "Name's Nico," He said, nonchalantly extinguishing the flames and holding out his hand, "Son of Hades."

Scorpius kept his eye carefully on this random person that was standing before him. He looked almost familiar, but it just wasn't clicking in Scorpius head. Scorpius was about to ask how they were similar, but by the time the words were coming out of his mouth he was engulfed in flames. It wasn't just him, the whole arena was. But they weren't Scorpius' flames however. They still didn't burn him, and when they lowered Scorpius raised his eyebrow. "I see.. You can control fire like I can!" Excitement back in his voice, Scorpius grinned and took one step closer towards the guy. "I'm Scorpius.. I'm guesing you already know that though?" Confusion could be found in his tone of voice as he shook Nico's hand. "Ahh nice.. I'm the son of Deimos." He didn't sound proud to say that, but what else was he supposed to do? He can't lie about who his father is.
Scorpius turned his back on the guy, his attention span taking him somewhere else. He continued to walk around the arena, and behind him leaving a trail of fire that would slowly die down. He loved doing that, for some reason it reminded him of a duck with its ducklings. "So what brings you to the arena today?" He was curious, there wasn't a fight going on today that Scorpius knew of. The only reason Scorpius was here was so he could be himself and light everything on fire without Saphira getting mad. He didn't understand why she would get mad, he wasn't lighting people on fire. Not that he wouldn't if they pissed him off or something. Sorpius wasn't the type of person to think when he's aggravated.
Moving the hair from his eyes, Scorpius walked towards the middle of the arena and sat down again. That was his favorite spot in the whole place. Mostly because it was in the center, and Scorpius was used to being the center of attention. Not that he tried to be, more that he just seemed to cause soo much chaos without realizing it that it seemed to draw attention to him. Like when he used to go to school and the teachers all feared him. He didn't do anything out of the ordinary, he was just being himself. ---------- Nico couldn't help but chuckle slightly at Scorpius' excitement over the events that just took place. This kid was like a squirrel on crack, but for some reason it was strangely endearing on him. With a smirk upon his face, he closed his eyes and looked into Scorpius' soul, pulling out vital pieces of information that was open for him to read like a book. "Scorpius Lightning Valentine, Son of Deimos," He said, realising that this kind of information wasn't nearly inpressive enough to state out loud with his ability, anyone could know this stuff, "When you were sixteen, your aunt was attacked by a monster, and soon after your mother died from a strange sickness."
Satisfied, Nico opened his eyes, his one red eye glimmering slightly after the use of another one of his abilities. Looking into one's soul was perhaps one of the most difficult things available for him to do, mostly because it left him with a raging migraine for a few moments afterwards. Rubbing his temples, he looked at Scorpius to see his reaction. "Fuck that hurts..." He muttered, starting to feel the headache subsiding as his healing ability kicked in. After just bearly hearing his question through the headache, Nico shrugged. "I find this place oddly comfortable," He said, adding "There's something about places of battle that make me calm."
As Scorpius walked to the center of the arena, Nico followed him, mostly out of curiosity. This kid had a strange aura about him, which he enjoyed. He didn't have many friends, and for the most part he liked that, but he didn't mind this goofy kid's company. Sitting next to him, he picked up a rock from the ground by pointing at it, and twirled it around in the air without ever touching it. "So what brings you to the arena?" He asked, flinging the rock over to the other side of the arena before turning his attention back to Scorpius.

At this moment in time, Scorpius' eyes were bulging out of his head. How did Nico know all that stuff about him? He didn't remember telling anyone that, as a matter of fact only Saphira knew about Scorpius mother dying of a strange disease. "Are you stalking me? Do you watch me sleep or something? ARE YOU AFTER MY COUSIN?" Shock, confusion, and concern all could be found in his voice. He was a little creeped out, he just met this guy but the guy already knew everything about him. It was fishy, and Scorpius didn't really like that. He didn't like people knowing things about him before he even said anything. Was Scorpius really that easy to read? He didn't really think so. But apparently he was wrong.
Scorpius watched as Nico was rubbing his temples. One of his eyebrows raised in confusion as he just stared. Who was this dude? "Alright, now I'm thinking that you have a power or something? Maybe I'm losing my mind." Yeah Scorpius was a weird one, but he was confused right now. But Scorpius gets confused about almost everything. So really it was nothing new to him. Even though Nico was scaring him a little bit, he almost liked the guy. He didn't seem like an asshole or anything, which was a good thing. Usually people just looked at Scorpius funny and avoided him. Nico on the other hand looked almost amused by Scorpius.
"I am here because this is the only place I can be myself and go crazy without my cousin getting mad at me. She doesn't like when i play with fire or make animals breathe fire in front of other people, she thinks it scares them or something." He shrugged it off and watched the rock twirl through the air. In an instant the rock was on fire because Scorpius thought everything looked better on fire. He started laughing when he remembered the time he had gave Saphira a flower as a kid and then lit it on fire right in front of her. She wasn't happy that day, but Scorpius sure as well was. Scorpius found everything amusing. He would run around with his own head on fire and run around just because he wanted to. ---------- Chuckling to himself was all Nico was capable of doing at this moment in time. His ability to read people's souls was really a simple joy for him, but it kept him really entertained when people who had no idea of the Gods and their children's existence wondered how the hell someone they'd never met before could know all of their dirty little secrets. It was like being able to look through the window in everyone's lives and make them feel truly uncomfortable that someone knew everything about them in a mere few seconds. That was kind of how he felt right now, the only difference being that he wasn't trying to torture Scorpius. He was just demonstrating his powers.
Finally getting control over his laughter and gazing at the clearly shocked kid in front of him, Nico smiled politely and nodded. "Yeah, it's one of my powers," He said, giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, "My old man needs to know what's in people's souls, and it got transferred to me through birth. Don't worry I won't tell anybody anything I discovered about you, I know how it's something kept between you and your cousin." Nico wasn't entirely sure about the facial expressions running across Scorpius' face, but it almost seemed to him that the kid was warming up to him.
Nodding his head as if to say he understood what he meant, Nico played with a ball of flame he produced out of thing air and smiled. "I know how you feel," He said, flinging the fire from one hand to the other, "People find out I'm the Son of Hades and suddenly they become distant toward me. I know my old man controls the underworld, and I enjoy the more sadistic side of life, but it's not like I'm not friendly to those who treat me the same way. But yeah, I like the quiet of the arena too." He paused for a moment as he thought, and added, "Plus, if there's anyone here looking for a challenge, I'm always up for a little competition!" He grinned and chuckled at his last words. Nico was a nice enough guy to most people, but he did enjoy violence, cruel jokes, and even death. Although considering who his father was, none of that was particularly surprising.

Confusion was one of those things that Scorpius didn't like. It made him feel stupid and he knew he wasn't. Sure he had the tendency to act like a three year old and make some pretty odd decisions, but when it came down to it Scorpius was actually really smart. A grin spread across his face when Nico started laughing, and soon Scorpius was laughing too. He didn't even know why he was laughing, but when someone around him was laughing it would usually put Scorpius into a laughing fit.
Finally calming down, Scorpius smiled back at Nico after he spoke. So it was his power that made him know everything about Scorpius. He sighed in relief, at least he didn't have a stalker. "Ahh thats cool dude. Yeah my fathers Deimos so I guess I inherited his 'Look of Death' which is pretty cool for scaring the shit out of people." He grinned evilly, scaring people close to death was always fun for him. Saphira got mad when he did, so he resorted into doing it out of anger. Which only made the visions in peoples head ten times scarier. The power that Scorpius had was by giving you this look, he had the power to put images in your head. Images of things you feared most, whether it'd be or loved ones dying or something worse. Only when he was angry could his power cause someone to literally be scared to death. "Only Saphira wont let me use my powers unless I'm pissed off, it kind of sucks but I guess its for the better." He sighed, he loved his cousin to death. But sometimes he thought she was too worried about him. He was capable of taking care of himself.
Finally Scorpius found someone who knew exactly what he was talking about. "Dude tell me about it! People look at me like I belong in a zoo or something. I can't tell if its the hair, the clothes, or what. But they don't even take the time to actually talk to me. So it's like they have no idea I'm actually a person. Kind of frustrating, not gonna lie." He shrugged, if people didn't want to know him then he didn't want to know them. He just found it funny that he was probably one of the nicest people, and people stared at him like he belonged in a freak show. Now Scorpius wasn't disagreeing with that statement, he just thought before saying it you should meet him. Scorpius watched Nico with the ball of fire and produced three of his own, trying to juggle them. He was failing terribly, but he thought it was funny and kept going anyway.
